everybody else is doing it . . . .my thoughts on "Simple Explanation" so yeah spoilers

While I was spoiled the whole way, I didn't expect it to happen like whoa right away.  That kind of made it hard for me to focus, and I do want to go back and rewatch the House/Wilson scenes.

*Hugh Laurie should get an Emmy after last night; not that he didn't deserve it after HH/WH of course.

*l don't get the Wilson bashing.  So Wilson took 5 minutes to himself to process this before going to House.  So what.  If he hadn't he can't be of any help to House if he is an emotional mess, I mean seriously!  This can't be easy for either of them.

*If Cuddy is so worried about House, she could have spent more time with him.  Maybe this is just to lead up to further developments bet. the two of them, but I was kind of confused when she went to Wilson and was like go be with him.  So Cuddy ships H/W and Wilson ships Huddy?

*Of course House is going to look for an explanation, it is who he is.  And I understand he is going to think he missed something, he *sees* everything.  But maybe Kutner was just that good at hiding things.  I think he had a lot of practice of hiding his feelings his entire life.  So has House.  Maybe that is why House couldn't see through him.

*Wilson gets it.  He gets that House is terrified of losing what makes him unique.  He gets it b/c he understands the repercussions.

*Now that this emotional moment is over, I kind of hope for a mundane ending like in S3 when House is just "happily" playing his new guitar.

I agree with absolutely everything here.

So Cuddy ships H/W and Wilson ships Huddy?

It just means that House/Wilson/Cuddy needs to happen. Now, preferably.

It will take me a while to watch this one all the way through again. I have seen the discovery of Kutner again, and I have watched the end a couple times, but I don't know that I've absolutely processed this yet. Maybe in the next couple weeks when I come to realize that Kutner isn't ever coming back, that's when it will really hit me.

I just re-watched the House/Wilson scenes and the ending again. I need some time before I can re-watch all the way. But I agree it won't hit me for while, unlike in W<3 where I was a walking disaster for like a week.

It did make for a very emotional show the way they did it, having the suicide at the very beginning. But I didn't lose it until Taub did at the end.

I agree, when the hell are the emmy people going to wise up, forget about the ceremony, just give the man his award!!!

I haven't seen any of the wilson bashing, I stay away from it.

I agree about the season finale, can't we just have a plain boring ending. People will come back after the summer, they don't need a cliffhanger!!!

Wilson's reaction baffled me at first, until I remembered that it was exactly - almost to the word - how he reacted to Amber's death.
I dare not say this at HHoW or house_wilson, but I think they're gradually replacing Wilson with Cuddy as the most important person in House's life.
House has good reason to worry he's losing his gift! He didn't diagnose the patient in time to save her AND missed that Eddie had been misdiagnosed.

Those are my fears as well, but with a few years left in the show, I would assume any issues with House's gift will be resolved. As for the Wilson and Cuddy conundrum, I do not think Wilson will lose his place as #1 best friend/confidant/conscience/support. Whatever happens with Cuddy, I do not think will change that, even if their relationship went on further than any sexual encounter. He was still #1 with Stacy around, I would imagine, even if we don't have canon evidence.

Seriously...all of this business about Wilson being "pissy" and "uncaring" is ridiculous. Do people even know how one acts when faced with a sudden death? Yeah, you're gonna need to compose yourself.

And Cuddy was kind of uncaring toward House, too. Hell, maybe she'll just step back by the end of the season and say how she understands that there's no one better for House than Wilson.

Hey...I can dream, right?
