Being home sick from work sucks. And is boring.

There is nothing on tv.

I could read.

I *should* be working on my report cards.

I called my new dr's office to see if I could get my appt. moved up. No can do. It is going to be a long month with no pain meds. If worse comes to worse I can go to the ER again, but I owe so much money already I really do not want to go there.

Today is Victoria Day, a holiday here. It's the first long weekend of the summer and usually everyone goes camping, but it's been cold and dreary. We had snow flurries again yesterday. I'm going to laze about, clean my house, catch up on my reading.

Of course someone just started mowing so I am sure that will improve my allergies

I ran out. Ok that isn't 100% true. I have 2 left. Oh boy. My dr appt with new dr. is on 6/19. *sigh*

My head is killing even more than it was earlier and I took 1.5 t3's AND 4 advil. Shoot me please.

:( I'm so sorry. Guh. Would send meds if I could. Have you ever tried Naproxen (which I think is sold as Aleve)? Idk - maybe something different from Tylenol or Advil would help if you weren't used to it. It's still an NSAID like Advil so you'd have to be careful, but idk - might be worth a shot. I've heard good things from my boss (who has migraines about as often as you do, I think) about Excedrin Migraine - it's something she takes when she can't take her other meds.

Yeah naproxen gives me stomach aches so I can't take it.

Neuro of fail has classified my headaches as chronic treatment resistant headaches. Lovely, huh?

Guhhh. Sounds like one of those 'I'll-just-tell-you-something-to-get-you-out-of-the-office-so-I-can-go-play-golf' terms. Nothing's treatment ~*~resistant~*~; we just haven't found the RIGHT treatment maybe. Arg. Medical fail :(

ARG what? Well I hope the next one will work out :(

I was wondering if they'd ever put you on Topamax? That's what I found out my boss is taking - it's the TINIEST pill you've ever seen in your life. And they use topamax off-label for EVERYTHING - dieting, seizure control, bipolar disorder. They even gave it to me in drug rehab...and I forget why, something about my moods, but I don't remember having bad side effects from it or anything. So idk just wondering :) It's like a prevention type med; you take them in these weird cycles, but my boss seems to be doing well on it, and she's had migraines all her life too.

YES. And it was the worst 2 weeks of my life. I literally thought I was dying. It is also part of the reason (I think) I'm losing my job b/c I got observed when i was on it, and I DON'T REMEMBER IT AT ALL. I felt like I was in a fog.

But I went to the ER today and I have vicodin so the world is wonderful right now.
