10 drabbles

Prompt: Pick a novel (or book), preferably one of more than 100 pages in length, and take the first (full) sentence off of the top of page; 10, 20, 30, 40 & ect, until you have ten (or thereabouts) quotes. Take said ten (or so) quotes and write drabbles based on them. You can use the whole quote, or just a section, even a word – all that matters is that you stay faithful to the first sentence part of the challenge.

The novel in question is If Looks Could Kill by Kate White.  I did take a few liberties with the first line at the beginning of the page, since some were dialogue it would have made no real sense. 

Varying POV's here from House to Wilson.  Mentions of Wilson/Amber and House/Wilson.  Also featuring cameos from Cameron and 13.  Spoilers for Wilson's Heart and S4.

The One Thing

Wilson didn’t know quite how they got to this point, but he wasn’t complaining as they fell into one another. His senses were immediately on overload. He was aware of House’s taste (vicodin and coffee), his smell (dryer sheets and musk), of how his tongue felt in his mouth, all at once. Synapses were firing rapidly in his brain, and his heart was racing. It was like being on speed without the aftershock or withdrawal.
