Step One:
- Make an LJ post. It can be public or friends only, whatever you’re most comfortable with. The post should contain your list of ten holiday wishes, and these wishes can be anything - from simple and fandom-related (a fan fiction written about your favorite pairing), to medium (a DVD you want), to really extravagant (a brand new laptop or car). Just make sure these are wishes for things you really, truly want.

- If you’re wishing for things that must be mailed to you, like a DVD, make sure you include some sort of contact information in your post. This can be your mailing address or your email address, it doesn’t matter which. Just make sure Santa (or one of his elves) can somehow get in touch with you. :)

- Also make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ. The main reason for the holiday wish lists is to spread the joy of giving. As is stated in step two…

Step Two:
- Skim through your friends list and see who has posted their own wish lists. Then - and this is the most important part - if you find a wish you can grant, and it’s in your heart to do so, make sure that person’s wish come true. Sometimes a person’s trash is another person’s treasure. If you have a leather jacket you don’t want or a gift certificate you’re never going to use, give it to someone who wants it.

Step Three:
- Post this wish list any time after November 1st. Then repost it two weeks before Christmas.

Step Four:
- Remember: you don’t need to spend money on these wishes to make them come true. Only spend money if you want to. The point isn’t to put people out, or to throw yourself into further in financial debt. The point of this is to provide everyone a chance to be someone’s secret Santa, to show someone what the holiday season is all about. Gifts can be made anonymously or not. It’s all up to you.

- There are no rules (except… the ones provided), no guarantees, or any strings attached. All you’re asked to do is wish, and to try - if you can - to make someone’s holiday a special one.

Remember guys this is completely optional and it's your choice to read this or not. It'd be fun if you guys did it though :) It's never too early to get in the Christmas spirit :D

Snagged from [livejournal.com profile] arhh

Do you read or write fanfiction?
* Yes.

When did you first start reading/writing fanfiction?
* My first piece was written in the 4th grade.  Seriously.

What was your first fandom?
Dallas and Blake's 7

First ship?
Pamela/Bobby, JR/Sue Ellen, Jenna/Blake

What website do you use most?
Livejournal.

What do you think of Fanfiction.net?
Some of my fics are there.  I still get notifications about certain fics I really liked.

What fandoms have you written in?
Dallas, Blake's 7, House

Pairings?
House/Wilson, Wilson/Amber

Any fandoms you would like to write in?
Not really right now.

Do reviews affect how you write in any way?
They don't affect how I write, but they do impact what I think about what I write.  If I only get a few comments, or they are from the same people, it makes me feel like no one else is reading b/c it sucks.  IDK,  I did get a really good comment this summer about my writing and it did help me a great deal.

Do you use a beta?
When I started , I didn't know anyone in the fandom.  Now I have a few ppl who I trust and who have done a great job for me.

What ratings do you read/write?
All ratings.

What warnings have you used on your fiction/read?
First time, holiday, vacation, sexual situations

Do you have any squicks?
I'm not a big fan of mpreg or serious sadism.

Do you Role-play online? If so, what?
No.  I don't know if I would know how, lol.

Have you ever stolen something from another person's work?
No.

Favorite fandom to write/read?
House.

Favorite pairing?
House/Wilson.

Favorite writer/writers?
Everyone on my friends list who write and a few more.

How long should a chapter be?
How ever long the author decides it should be.  I think it is a personal preference.

Do you write/read drabbles?
Yes

Any fandoms you avoid?
I pretty much stick to House right now.

Pairings you avoid?
House/Cameron.  I'm not big on the House/Cuddy but if the author makes it plausible, and House still has plenty of Wilson time, then I will read it.

Warnings you avoid?
Mpreg, unless it has been recommended as a good read

Do the number of reviews tell how good a story is?
No.  But then I think I am brilliant, and I seldom get tons of reviews or recommended.  IDK if it is b/c I am full of myself and my writing is actual crap, or for some other reason, like I pissed someone off in the fandom unintentionally.  I've never been good with the flies/honey thing.

What do you think of Mary Sues?
The first House fic I wrote, I wrote myself in to.  (Perhaps this is why I can't get a rec?)  That was about a year, year and a half ago.  I'd like to think that my writing isbetter now.

Have you ever flamed someone?
Not that I know of.

Have you ever been flamed?
Probably.
